“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5) Darkness, in its purest sense, is not a property or a thing in itself. Instead, darkness is the absence of light. Shades of darkness are actually different shades of light.
"I will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope." (Hosea 2:15) The Hebrew word for ‘Achor’ means 'trouble or suffering.' The Lord never sends us through a valley of affliction without providing hope. Hope to buoy us along the journey. Hope in the midst of great pain.
"Then I saw and considered it; I looked and received instruction." (Pro. 24:32) Experience is a good teacher, a little harsh at times, but a good teacher nonetheless. Going through Cancer creates a shift in our perception and understanding of the world.
