Veterans Affairs officials are warning veterans who were exposed to open-air burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan that they could face additional risks from respiratory complications related to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.








Ms. Peggy Sue McGill

Ms. Peggy Sue McGill, 59, of Vossburg, MS, died March 17, 2020, at the University Medical Center of Jackson, MS. She was born September 2, 1960. She was a teacher and Friends of Children of Mississippi.




Dorothy Lee Pearson

Dorothy Lee Pearson, 62, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on May 13, 2020, at her residence.  

She was born on February 11, 1958, to Edward Albert Manker and Anna (Hoser) Manker in Thayer, MO.
