Clarke County livestock producers to meet Sept. 20
Livestock producers in Clarke County are invited to attend the Clarke County Livestock Association meeting on Sept. 20.
The event will be at the Clarke County Multipurpose Building, located at 101 Westwood Avenue in Quitman beginning at 6 p.m.
John Blanton, Extension animal and dairy science specialist, will talk about emerging issues in animal agriculture and livestock production.
This meeting is the first since the association reorganized. It is open to all livestock producers in Clarke County, including cattle, sheep, goat and swine producers.
The event is free, but preregistration is required by September 13. A sponsored dinner provided by Meridian Livestock and the Clarke County Co-Op will be served. To sign up, call the Extension office at 601-776-3951.
