Gilda Tew Page

Gilda Tew Page, 84, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on April 19, 2018 at Lakeside Living Center. 

She was born on October 26, 1933 to Mack and Sallie (Johnson) Tew in the Carmichael community of Clarke County, Mississippi.

Gilda was a life-long resident of Clarke County and was a manager at the Quitman Knitting Mills for many years.  She was the much-loved matriarch of her family.  She will be missed.

Gilda is survived by her son, Steve (Taunya) Whaley; sisters, Vondee Tew Williams and Myra Tew; grandchildren, Brian (Amanda) Whaley, Patrick (Shirley) Whaley, Rachel (Daniel) Zabaldano, and Sarah Whaley (Fiance', P.J. Keb); great-grandchildren, Mason, Jackson and Aubrey Whaley. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Page; parents, Mack and Sallie Tew; and her sisters, Patricia Tew Glass and Judy Tew Lafferty.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018, 11:00 am at the Andrew's Chapel Cemetery, with Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. Pam Randall officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Williams, Phillip Williams, Andy Lafferty, Pat Whaley, P. J. Keb, and Daniel Zalbaldano
