James Bert Cook

James Bert Cook, 71, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on October 27, 2018, at Anderson's Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.  He was born on August 1, 1947, to T.C. and Golda Mae (Broom) Cook in Alabama.

James is survived by his wife, Nita Cook; son, Bryan Mitchell Cook; two daughters, Debrah (Kelly) Cowart, and LeAnn (Ron) Bohl; two sisters, Rita Harper, and Hazel Griffis; six grandchildren, Kayla Cowart, Brittany Cowart, Allen Cowart, Kinsey Cochran, Reagan Bohl, and Colton Bohl.

Pallbearers are Alan Bell, Dale Mercer, Richard Touchstone, Richard Benefield, Gerald Sanders, and Johnny Prine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, T.C. and Golda Mae Cook; and sisters, Ann Rankin and Jeanette O’Quin.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 29, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Souenlovie Baptist Church, Enterprise, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 29, 1:00 pm at the Souenlovie Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Crenshaw, Rev. Brad Bakane, officiating. Burial will take place in the Souenlovie Cemetery.
