William Marcus “Mark” Shumock

On Wednesday, August 21, 2019 William Marcus “Mark” Shumock passed away at the age of 51.

Mark was a lifelong resident of Rose Hill, Mississippi. Mark was an avid hunter and really loved doing anything and everything outdoors. Mark’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his grandkids Adyson and Camden. When you met Mark, you weren’t likely to forget him. Mark always had a smile bigger than life. He loved to make others smile usually by telling one of his many crazy stories. He had a spirit so free and lived everyday like it was his last. His contagious personality will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents Herbie and Eddie Lee Dearman, Woodrow and Allison Shumock, and his beloved daughter Whitney Michelle Shumock.

Mark is survived by wife Katherine Williams Shumock; his daughter Megan Sisson and husband Daniel, grandchildren Adyson and Camden Sisson; parents Bubba and Shirley Shumock; sister, Abby and husband Kevin Brown; brother, Curt Shumock and wife Blair; nephews Holden Brown and Tripp Shumock; nieces Hannah Trigg, Haylee Smith, Reese and Livy Shumock. Great niece Remi Layne Trigg.

Visitation will be Friday August 23, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Phalti Baptist Church located on Paulding-Pachuta Road with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Rose Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Rose Hill, MS placed by his precious daughter Whitney. Rev. Keith Bogan, Rev. James Shumaker, Rev. Steve Pouncy and Rev. Michael Shumock will officiate the service. Pallbearers are Aaron Brister, Holden Brown, Cory Dearman, Butch Harris, Tracy Lewis, and Blake Trigg. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Brooks, Jessie Pension, Camden Sisson, Tripp Shumock, and Mike Ulmer.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations be made to Phalti Baptist Church: P.O. Box 72 Pachuta, MS 39347 in memory of Mark.
