New Restaurant in Quitman
Chefski’s Restaurant is soon to open on Main Street in Quitman in the historic Kirkland building. David and Barbara Staszefski, along with Barbara’s parents, Terry and Bonnie Roberson, have been renovating the historic building for five years to prepare for the grand opening. Barbara said, “We had to redo the electrical, as well as, replace the roof, but now we are only waiting on regulatory agencies to give us the go ahead to open the doors.” The family will prepare country cooking for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the week. They will also open on Saturday evenings and Sundays for lunch. The balcony space in the restaurant will be open for dining, as well as, a meeting area upstairs. A dinner special will include a main course with bread and two sides for $9 each day. Other meal options will range from poboys to baked potatoes, salads, steaks, seafood, and appetizers. Barbara recommends trying the boneless BBQ wings. Breakfast options will include waffles, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and the like. Chefski’s is currently hiring and can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting their Facebook page.
