Brian Barnes of Greenwood displays images that he and his friend from college, David Nicholas, took at Ground Zero on the day two passenger jets were flown into the Twin Towers, Sept. 11, 2001. They had moved to Manhattan to work in films and photography, so they had the equipment on hand and used it to record what they saw. Their images will be displayed at an exhibit titled "Mississippi Bears Witness." It will open at the Museum of the Mississippi Delta on Sept. 10. The next day will be the 25th anniversary 9/11.

For 75 years, Majure Jewelry & Gifts has shined as vibrantly as the stunning diamonds and gems they sell.

It was originally started by Bob and Doris Majure in August of 1951 in the old McNeill Drug Store building at 105 Main Street in Quitman. When it first opened, the main focus was on watch repair.
