The 19th Annual MLK Unity Parade is set to take place in Quitman on Saturday, January 17. The theme for this year will be “Music is the Keynote to Unity.”
The line-up will start at the Department of Human Services at 12:00 p.m., and the parade will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Aakeela Hudnall will be the Grand Marshal. The Heidelberg Marching Band will also be participating. All horses, ATVs, and classic cars are welcome to join the parade.
This year’s parade is being hosted by Tay Cheesy.
The following prizes will be awarded to winning floats:
1st place - $100.00
2nd place - $75.00
3rd place - $50.00
