The Clarke County Chamber of Commerce was proud to award Quitman Small Engines as the Business of the Month for November 2025.
Quitman Small Engine & Repairs originally purchased the business in 2019 from Sonny Young before building a new building for it at their current location, 101 North Railroad Avenue in Quitman.
They carry Skag, Husqvarna, and eXmark mowers, as well as the full line of Stihl products and parts. Anything that is needed to take care of the lawn, they should have.

A thoughtful column on the Mississippi Today website laid out a couple of education ideas that have nothing to do with the pending school choice proposal that would allow families, with state assistance, to enroll their children in whatever school they wish.
