The Clarke County Tribune, your hometown newspaper, won thirteen awards in the Better Newspaper Contest Advertising Division on Monday, March 16.
Back in the fall, newspapers from all across the state submitted entries from publications from October 2024 to September 2025. A press association from another state judged numerous entries from newspapers all over the State of Mississippi, selecting winners in two dozen categories.
“I am blessed to have customers that allow me to design and create for them,” commented Publisher Belinda Allen. “It’s truly an honor to win. I thank God for blessing me with the talent to do what I do.”
The awards Belinda won include the following:
First Place
General Retail – Quitman Small Engines – “Bold, clean, attention grabbing. Looks like a magazine ad.”
Home Improvement/Lawn & Garden – SCAG – “The ad has a very clean design and the piece of art with the man mowing immediately draws interest from the reader.”
Small Space Ad – Fish Wagon – “This ad stands out on the page. The graphics are good and for a small ad there is a lot of information but it is easy to read and doesn’t feel cluttered. Great job!”
Editorial Special Section – Clarke Magazine 2024 – “This is a really nice looking magazine with good variety of articles.”
Magazine Ad-Food & Beverage – Chefski’s – “Nice clean ad. Easy to read.”
