Ava Merle Braddock, 91, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on May 2, 2022, at Diversicare of Quitman. She was born on January 7, 1931, to Carmen and Verna Mae (Smith) Daughtery in Quitman, MS.
Ava is survived by her daughter, Freda (Charles "Chuck") McClure; granddaughter, Tina (Lee) Beech; great grandsons, Trey Beech, Hayden Beech, and Cooper Beech; along with her cousins, Vickie Boykin and Pam Belvin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmen and Verna Mae Daughtery; husband, Alfred "Buddy" Braddock; and brother, James Daughtery.
Visitation was held Thursday, May 5, 2022, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home in Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Ivy officiating. Burial took place in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral service.
Pallbearers for the service were Trey Beech, Hayden Beech, James Morgan, Ben Moorehead, Paul Mosley and George Belvin.
In lieu of flowers, Ava's family requests that donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Association, or to your favorite charity or religious organization.
