Not only does Clarke County have a Miss Hospitality, but it also has a beautiful Little Miss Hospitality to represent it as well: Bailey McKenzie.
Bailey is the daughter of Antione and Aeiprail McKenzie, and she has a sister, Brooklyn McKenzie, and brother, Brenton McKenzie.
She maintains honor roll and participates in both school activities and sports.
“I like to go to SWAT because we get to go to different states and go on field trips and learn about different things,” stated Bailey. “I play softball and basketball. In softball, we won finalists and got rings. In our regular season, we got rings too for winning the championship.”
Her personality is what caused Clarke County’s Miss Hospitality Nya Nobles to nominate her as Little Miss Hospitality.
“She is very well spoken. She’s very sweet. She has a personality that gets along with everyone,” explained Nya. “I figured if I’m going to have someone representing the county as a Little Miss, then I wanted someone who would be able to interact with the other girls very nicely and someone that would be excellent with behavior. I’m not going to be with her 24/7. She’s going to be with other people who are running the pageant. I didn’t want to have to be worried about the person I pick having behavioral issues or not representing the county in a way that is to a correct standard.”
Bailey was excited when she was offered the opportunity to be Little Miss Hospitality and is excited about her part in the pageant on July 14 and 15.
“My mom asked me if I wanted to be Little Miss Hospitality and told me about it, and I said yeah. I’ll get to meet other girls across the state that are my age,” declared Bailey. “I’ll have to walk across the stage and wave, and they’ll show pictures of us. We’ll have a tea party we can dress up for, and I’ll have an autograph signing.”
The autograph signing will take place at Turtle Creek Mall on July 14 and will be open to the public so that anyone can come.
She has assisted Nya with different community events to be able to serve the county. She has attended a Farmer’s Market and assisted at Archusa Creek Water Park on July 3 by meeting and greeting the guests who arrived for the fireworks.
While she is excited to go to the pageant in Hattiesburg and represent Clarke County as Little Miss Hospitality, she doesn’t intend to stop once the pageant is completed.
“I plan to continue to represent my county until the next Little Miss,” proclaimed Bailey.
Bailey will represent Clarke County well as Little Miss Hospitality and will continue to do a great job serving the community.
