After finishing two wins shy of an NJCAA Division II World Series berth last season, Jones College enters 2025 ranked 12th according to the NJCAA Preseason Top 25 poll.
The Bobcats are coming off a 41-16 season, falling to LSU Eunice in the region championship game. LSUE would go on to win the national title.
This year's roster, however, will look very different with eight JUCO/Division I transfers and just four total returning starters.
Joining Jones in the preseason Top 25 are No. 2 East Central, No. 5 Pearl River and No. 20 Meridian. Defending national champion has moved into Division I in baseball. Brunswick Community College (North Carolina) is preseason No. 1.
The Bobcats will throw out first pitch of the season Tuesday, Feb. 4 against Coastal Alabama-South in a single, 9-inning game.
