Graveside services for Bennie Neal, age 80, of Quitman, MS, were held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Quitman, MS, with Tubby Dyess and Reverend Jason Castle officiating.
Mr. Neal was born March 14, 1942, in Clarke County, MS, to Everin Clayton Neal and Claudia Lorene Cooper Neal. He passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, MS.
He is survived by his wife, Floy Pearl Johnson “Flo” Neal of Quitman, MS; daughters, Melissa Lynn Neal of Quitman, MS, Carol Sue Neal of Enterprise, MS, Rennie Michelle Brewer (Oscar) of Stonewall, MS, and Amy Jean Neal of Enterprise, MS; and grandchildren, Jeremy Andrew Waller, Stephanie Michelle Sanderford (Joe), Katelyn Renae Robinson, and Jason Daniel Pierce. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Daniel Waller; father, Everin Clayton Neal; mother, Claudia Lorene Cooper Neal; brothers, Junior Neal, Charles Neal, Talmadge “Fats” Neal, John D. Neal, and Wayne Neal; and sisters, Carolyn Raines, Dorothy Sue Collins, Marie Johnson, and Barbara Sue Neal.
Serving as pallbearers were Stan Stewart, Raymond Taormina, Craig Simpson, Dylan Simpson, Terry Simpson, and Jody Simpson. Honorary pallbearers included Stephen Krajewski and Tubby Dyess.
