Jones College knows its first-round opponent and the bracket for this year's NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament.
The Bobcats (27-6) are the No. 18 seed and will face No. 15 seed Panola College (26-6) at 2:30 Sunday, March 24 in Hutchinson, Kansas, at the Hutchinson Sports Arena.
The winner meets No. 2 seed South Plains (31-2) Monday night, who was No. 1 in the country for most of the season.
It's Jones' third appearance in Hutch and first since the 2016-17 season.
Jones ran the table as a No. 11 seed in 2014, its first-ever trip to Hutch, under current Southern Miss head coach Jay Ladner.
The Bobcats are 6-1 all-time in the tournament.
Mississippi teams have not fared well since Jones' initial trip to Hutch, posting a 4-9 overall record. Holmes made the Elite Eight in 2015.
