Despite suffering a devastating loss from a structure fire on January 4, 2024, Busy Bee Bouncers is thankful and proud to still be in business. Although they lost many of their bouncy houses in the fire, they did have some that survived and arere still available for rent.
“We took a major hit. We had 74 inflatables, and 70 are gone,” explained owner Cassie Smith Lewis. “I’ve been doing this for 10 years and have worked so hard to build my clientele and be nice to everybody and make sure that everybody at the end of the day would say that’s the company to choose. We were in Chattanooga, Tennessee, working when the house caught on fire.”
They have already replaced one of the bouncies and have at least one of each type available for rent right now.
“We do still have a few,” declared Cassie. “We have an obstacle course, slide, two combos of a bounce house with slide, and a new bouncie. We still have at least one of each option.”
As soon as they are able to locate a place to store them, attaining even more bouncies is already in the works.
“There’s a bounce house company that has offered to give us a line of credit to get some bouncies for the spring,” continued Cassie. “They’re going to go ahead and ship them to us as soon as we have somewhere to put them. We’re going to do our best to build back up. We originally started with one, and now we’re starting with five, so we’re better than where we first started. We’re going to grow back to what we were and hopefully bigger and better than that. It’s just going to take a little while.”
Within a month, they will officially have a website where people can make reservations on the different bouncies they have in stock. They will continually update the available bouncies as they add more to their inventory. They will be fully operational by March.
The community has been amazing to them since losing their home, RV, vehicle, and most of their inventory to the fire. They are thankful for the love and support they have received. Now, the best way to help them is simply to help get the word out that Busy Bee Bouncers is still open.
“The community has shown out. They have been so helpful. People have brought us clothes. People have brought us silverware. People have brought us a microwave,” proclaimed Cassie. “The best way to help us now is definitely sharing the Facebook page and telling family and friends we’re still open.”
It’s great to know that this great business is still going strong and possesses big plans for rebuilding even more after enduring such a tragic loss.
Continue to support Busy Bee Bouncers as they continue to grow their business again!
