Catherine Dean Baynes Elfring Baskett, 88, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on September 25, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on July 26, 1937, to Walter and Roberta (Marlow) Baynes in Clarke County, MS.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Brenda Elfring (Walter) Arrington; grandson, Ben Arrington; great-granddaughter, Melody Arrington; sister, Betty Baynes Wall; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Tillman Baynes; mother, Roberta Baynes; first husband, Benjamin W. Elfring; second husband, James Baskett; son, Michael W. Elfring; granddaughter, Amber Catherine Robinson; and brother-in-law, Joseph R. Wall.
Visitation was held Saturday, September 27, 2025, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. Ernie Manning officiating.
Burial took place in the Salem Cemetery.
