Clarkco State Park has a fun packed weekend planned to celebrate 250 years this July 3 and 4.
The event kicks off that Friday with a large series of events that are perfect for everyone in the family.
The following is the schedule of events for Friday, July 3:
• 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Fishing Rodeo
• 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Guided Hike
• 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Cookout, Kid’s Zone and Jumpies, and Food and Craft Vendors
They will have biking events that Friday.
There will be a bike biathlon that combines mountain biking and Nerf gel gun target shooting. Athletes will race through a course that is approximately 1/3 mile long and stop after each lap to shoot at targets in prone, kneeling, and standing positions. This event is appropriate for anyone up to twelfth grade that is capable of riding a bike without training wheels independently for approximately one mile.
There will also be an obstacle course consisting of a compact, skills-focused riding area containing a variety of obstacles such as rocks, logs, turns, bridges, climbs, and technical features. These courses are used to help riders develop bike handling skills, balance, confidence, and obstacle navigation in a controlled environment. It is designed for all students who are able to ride a bike without training wheels.
The last bike event is the Lil Champions Fun Race where kids up to the fifth grade race around an infield course.
Children must wear helmets at all times if they are riding a bike.

• 10:00 Registration for Lil Champions Opens
• 11:00 Lil Champions Fun Race Begins
• 12:00 Lil Champions Award Ceremony
• 2:00 Bike Games Close

• 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Kid’s Zone and Jumpies
• 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Parade Judging
• 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Golf Cart and Bike Parade
• 5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. A250 Flag Ceremony and National Anthem and Pledge
• 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Overstep Entertainment
• 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Boat Parade
• 7:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Boat Parade Judging
• 9:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Fireworks
