Notice!
Beginning March 1, the Baptist Center will begin requiring any individuals seeking financial assistance for utilities to come pick up a form which must be completed by the pastor of his/her local church. The form includes instructions for a letter that must be attached, typed or legibly written, detailing the circumstances surrounding the need. The pastor must also call the Baptist Center to verify that he did indeed compose the letter and fill out the form. This is to help us prevent fraud and be better stewards. Priority will be given to members of churches that are part of the Clarke County Baptist Association. Furthermore, all individuals that receive food at the Baptist Center will need to register for assistance at the CAN Center (behind the library on Thursdays from 8-12) as we are transitioning all food items to that location. Once the current food supplies are depleted at the Baptist Center, there will no longer be distribution during the Monday-Wednesday workday.
Saturday, March 7
The Old Oak Grove Cemetery Committee will have a special meeting at 10:00 a.m. on March 7 at Oak Grove Church. All members with loved ones in the cemetery are asked to attend the meeting.
