Circuit Clerk Sally Wedgeworth announced her office will be open Saturday, Oct. 3, from 8 a.m. to noon for voter registration.
“Election Day is Nov. 3. We want to give everyone a chance to register,” Wedgeworth said. “The last day to register to vote for this election is Monday, Oct. 5. We are hoping that this will allow those an opportunity to register.”
Absentee voting began Sept. 21. Those eligible to vote absentee include people who will be out of the county on Election Day, people 65 and older, deployed military personnel stationed outside the county, military and civilians overseas, people who are disabled or bedridden, and others who meet absentee voting requirements.
“Absentee voting is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,” Wedgeworth said. “The circuit clerk’s office will also be open on Saturday, Oct. 24, and Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to noon for absentee voting for anyone not able to come during normal business hours.”
Anyone with questions about voter registration, absentee voting or other election matters can contact the Circuit Clerk’s Office at 601-776-3111.
