Car lovers from all around can come out and experience the Rides of the Past Car Show at Clarkco State Park, located at 386 Clarkco Road in Quitman, on March 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For anyone with an amazing vehicle they would like to enter into the show, registration is only $20. There will be 16 awards given that day in different categories for cars, trucks/jeeps, ratrods, and bikes.
“This car show is in honor of the building of Clarkco from 1934 to 1938,” informed Marsha Roberts, President of Friends of Clarkco. “All cars are welcome, but we have a prize for the best 1934-1938 car in the show.”
There will be great live entertainment provided by Stephen Hennington with Gravel Road Prophets from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a raffle drawing, as well as food and drinks provided by Friends of Clarkco in the concession stand. All money collected will go to Friends of Clarkco to be used for events and bringing more things to Clarkco.
“We have recently ordered swings,” stated Roberts. “We’re planning to raise enough money to put up a fire ring with wooden swings around it in the campground for the guests to enjoy!”
Come out for some great family fun and see some beautiful vehicles at the car show at Clarkco on March 23!
