Dear Clarke County Churches, Businesses, and Community Partners,
The Clarke County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce two special community events that we hope will bring our county together in a spirit of fellowship, creativity, and hometown pride.
Clarke Fest – Saturday, September 26
Do you make the best jelly in Clarke County? How about preserves, pickles, local honey, and jams. This year at Clarke Fest, we are bringing back an old-fashioned tradition with our Clarke County Canning Contest!
If you can put it in a jar, we want to see it!
Entries will be judged in various categories, and we'll find out who truly makes the best homemade products in Clarke County.
Whether you're a seasoned canner or just enjoy preserving your family's favorite recipes, we invite you to join the fun and show off your talents.
More contest details will be announced soon, so start planning your entries now!
A Hometown Christmas at Clarkco
The Clarke County Chamber of Commerce and Friends of Clarkco are proud to present "A Hometown Christmas," a community Christmas light display that will begin Thanksgiving Day and continue nightly through Christmas Day at Clarkco State Park.
We are inviting every church, business, civic organization, and community group in Clarke County to participate by creating and decorating a Christmas-themed display scene.
Each participating group will be assigned an area to showcase its creativity and holiday spirit.
Build it, buy it, paint it, light it, or create it however you choose. Use your imagination to bring the Christmas story, holiday traditions, or hometown memories to life.
Please note that electrical power may not be available in every display location. Participants may need to consider alternative lighting methods such as generators, solar lighting, battery-powered displays, or other creative solutions.
Christmas is the perfect time for Clarke County to come together as neighbors, friends, coworkers, churches, and families. Together, we can create a Christmas experience that will become a treasured tradition for years to come.
Let's build a display so special that people will gladly drive for miles to experience the warmth, beauty, and community spirit of Clarke County.
