As the weather cools off, it makes a person want to get outside and celebrate Fall.
In Clarke County, one can do that on September 28th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Archusa Creek Water Park. Once again, Clarke Fest is coming to town. Clarke Fest is the current name for the former Forestry and Wildlife Festival held yearly by the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce.
Clarke Fest is one of the biggest events hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. It is a fundraiser for the Chamber, and the proceeds fund the Chamber’s operating budget and charitable donations for the coming year. The Chamber appreciates the support we receive throughout Clarke County and surrounding areas from its members, volunteers, and the community.
One of the events you will be able to participate in at Clarke Fest is the annual Paul Brown Memorial Car Show. Mr. Paul loved Clarke County and Clarke Fest, so it is only natural that we continue to honor his memory in this manner. Registration for the car show opens at 9 a.m. and closes around 12:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at approximately 1:00 p.m. Door prizes and cash prizes are awarded from a drawing from all registered vehicles for the day. Monetary prizes to be given away total a minimum of $1,000.00, and door prizes will include a free two-night cabin or two-night campsite stay at any Pat Harrison Waterway Park, among many other giveaways, including a 50/50 Raffle.
Bring that car, truck, or motorcycle you are so proud of and register it in the car show September 28th at 9 a.m. You may just ride away with a little something extra! This is an open car show; all makes, all models, and any year are welcome to participate in the registration!
There will be other activities at the park all day including arts, crafts, trade exhibits, entertainment, children’s games, food vendors, and much more.
Looking forward to seeing you at Clarke Fest 2024!
