Clarke Fest is scheduled to take place at Archusa Water Park on September 24 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
There will be a variety of booths with arts and crafts vendors, non-profits booths, food vendors, a kid’s area, and entertainment all day long.
There will also be a pie contest with no entry fee to enter a pie. Celebrity judges will determine the winner of the pie contest, and they will select a first, second, and third place winner. Each pie will be sold by the slice with proceeds going to the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce.
The annual Paul Brown Memorial Car Show is also taking place near the water. There is a $25 registration fee to participate in the car show, and the registration table will open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 12:30 p.m. There will $1,000 given away that day. Awards will be made through drawing entered car registration numbers, and drawings will be at 1:00 p.m. There will also be a final drawing awarding a free, two-night stay at any Pat Harrison Water Park, and all entrants are eligible for the prize. Proof of insurance must be shown on site for anyone entering the car show. Creature Comforts Animal Shelter will host the 2nd Annual Bow-wow Revue at Clarke Fest on Saturday, September 24, at 1:30 p.m. Dress Code: Relatively clean fur coats and/or costumes. Tricks/talents welcomed but not necessary to enter. Multiple categories of prizes to win!

Fishermen can also enjoy the day by participating in the annual Clarke Fest Bass Tournament. It will begin as soon as it is light and last until 2:00 p.m. There is a limit of two people per boat and a $70 entry fee to participate in the tournament. The payout for winners goes up to 50% of the entry fee: first place gets 50%, second place gets 30%, and third place get 20%.
Vitalant will be on hand with the blood mobile if anyone would like to donate blood from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
