Marty Schrimpshire is starting up a new business to benefit the people of Clarke County: C&M Emergency Roadside Assistance LLC.
He decided to start the business after developing a passion on working with it when he lived in another state. Now, he has partnered with his cousin, Christina Buntyn, to create an affordable roadside assistance business in the area.
“It’s something I decided to do because I did it for about seven months in Texas,” explained Marty. “Around here, you don’t really have a middle man, and that’s basically what I am. I just have a pickup truck and not a tow truck or anything like that. I’m just the middle man so that you just pay for my service and the mileage in between, and that’s it. You don’t pay for a tow fee, non-tow fee, hookups, or anything like that.”
They offer multiple services at reasonable prices.
“I do pretty much everything except towing,” informed Marty. “I do any type of assistance call, whether it is actually me doing the service or going to help another roadside or tow service. We’ll change tires, do jump starts, lock outs, gas calls, and what we call pull outs. Pull outs would be if someone runs off the road and is just stuck and not in danger or wrecked, then they could call me and I’d hook a chain to the vehicle and pull them out.”
At this time, he is anticipating have his business officially start within the next month or two where he would be able to accept calls from auto insurances as well as being contacted directly from clients.
