Two Quitman High School seniors recently signed on to attend college: Braylon Peters and Kendan Allen.
The coach and school are excited about the progress the Quitman baseball program has made over the last few years and are excited to see that the two boys are able to continue their education through their baseball careers.
“We want to recognize both Braylon and Kendan for what they have done since I’ve been here in two years in the program,” declared Head Coach Eric Johnson. “Both are leaders on and off the field and are great kids with high character. I can’t ask for anything better than what they bring each and every day. They’re the type of kids that as a coach you appreciate having around each day. To see them achieve this accomplishment today is huge. From where they were two years ago to where they are now is nothing but hard work, dedication, and believing in themselves to do what you have to do to get to the next level. This is important for our program because for consecutive years we’ve been able to get kids signed to the next level. To me as a coach, that’s the most rewarding thing because you get the chance to continue your dream, but more importantly you get to get an education and get a degree and do something that a lot of folks never really had a chance to do. This community and administration have been so supportive, and to see these kids achieve these goals is amazing. I’m proud to say I’ve coached both these kids.”
Both students are excited to excel and play at their college this upcoming year.
