Apparently some bored vandals caused damage on the greens at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Quitman sometime during the night between Sunday and early Monday morning. Whoever decided to take a joy ride across the greens and fairway rutted up the grounds and caused a significant amount of damage. What a shame. The members at Cedar Creek volunteer their time and money to keep the golf course in top notch condition. Hopefully law enforcement will get some significant tips to help find out who caused the damage.
Kudos to the local law enforcement for the quick investigation regarding the recent auto burglaries. Most people are law abiding citizens who work hard to have things in life, and even though it may not be wise to leave items in the vehicle, it is a shame there are those who go around searching out and stealing from people. My prayer is they will realize that is not a life they want and will use this arrest as an opportunity to want to do better.
Many people were pleased with the night parades from Stonewall and Quitman with comments on how much they enjoyed it. Hopefully the parade planners will take this into consideration when planning next year’s Christmas parades.
