The world of entertainment lost several noteworthy celebrities and entertainers in the past few weeks. Some who made considerable contributions in the entertainment industry and some who we grew up watching and admiring on television.
While the mainstream media portrayed their many contributions to the world thru the endless news coverage, this week we want to portray those who made considerable contributions as well.
This is the second year in a row that The Tribune publishes an ‘In Remembrance’ page for the ones who have died during the past year from our hometown.
These are people who may not have ever had their name in bright lights or graced the stage and movie theaters but who are legends to the families they left behind.
These are the names of perhaps a mother who dedicated her life to raising her children.
The father who died with scarred hands from a lifetime of working to support his family.
The grandmother or grandfather who raised their grandchildren.
The son who passed way before his parents.
The daughter who was the apples of her father’s eyes.
The family member who fought an addiction, lost the battle or sadly ended their life.
The church member who so diligently served the Lord without seeking recognition.
The civil servant who served the public or dedicated his career to law enforcement.
These are the ones who left behind family members who are learning to adjust to life without their loved ones.
These are ones who we can honor and cherish their memory by never forgetting their names.
Our ‘In Remembrance’ can be found on page 6.
God speed to our readers for a safe and prosperous New Year.
