Letter to the Editor
Recently I visited Creature Comforts in Quitman hoping to get some photographs of cats. I happened to arrive at the same time as a transport from Wisconsin.
The large RAM 1500 Promaster van pulled up under the shed and began unloading the supplies it had brought. Then began the process of loading dogs into crates for the trip back to Wisconsin.
I learned from the driver that it took approximately fourteen hours and forty minutes (14 hrs. 40 min.) to make the trip. That's twenty-nine hours and twenty minutes (29 hrs. 20 min.) both ways. You know when someone puts in that much drive time to rescue animals that they really care about dogs, cats, and their welfare.
I watched as a number of people helped load dogs into crates that were stacked three high and secured for the trip. Everyone was very enthusiastic about their work. Another lovely girl wearing leather cowgirl boots and a lime colored tank top came out with an arm load of doggie bowls to clean. Her blonde hair sparkled in the sunlight as she worked. I could tell she really cared about animals because of the effort and attention she put into her work.
In fact, everyone I saw that day was an animal lover. Everyone I saw working to load the dogs for transport to Wisconsin really seemed to care about animal rescue. They put their heart into their work and I praise them for that.
Please, if you love animals, give whatever you can, your time, effort, money, equipment or supplies, to this great good cause. Visit https://paypal.me/creaturecomfortscc to make a donation now.
Animal rescue is important, hard work with great challenges. Your support will leave you with a rewarding feeling of accomplishment.
I care about animals and Jennifer Bozeman, President of Creature Comforts, certainly cares about animals. But this is a mega task and it will take mega effort to rescue all the neglected, abandoned, and homeless dogs and cats in Clarke County. Please contribute to this great good cause and show that you also care.
Sincerely,
Terry Lynch
