The following are the schedules for Trick-or-Treating and other Halloween events scheduled for the county:
Quitman: Trick-or-Treating will take place on October 30 from 5-8 p.m. Trailers must use extreme caution.
Stonewall: Trick-or-Treating will take place on October 30 from 5-8 p.m. No trailers are allowed. There will also be a Fall Festival at the Stonewall Town Hall that day from 5-9 p.m.
Enterprise: Trick-or-Treating will take place on October 30 from 5-8 p.m. No trailers are allowed. There will be a Fall Festival at Ritchey Park the same day beginning at 6 p.m.
Shubuta: Trick-or-Treating will take place on October 30 from 5-8 p.m. No trailers are allowed.
Pachuta: Trick-or-Treating will take place on October 30 from 5-8 p.m. No trailers are allowed.
Other Fall Festivals and Truck or Treats
• Barnett Church Fall Festival will be held Wednesday, October 27, from 5 - 8 p.m. Hotdogs, chips, drinks, candy served. Ring toss, cornhole, balloon pop, tp toss, cake walk and more! Open to the public at no cost. Masks are not required. The church is located at 119 East Church Street, Pachuta.
• Clarke County Emergency Management Agency: There will be the first annual Trunk-or-Treat event at the Emergency Management Building (army reserve building) on October 28 from 6-8 p.m. There will be fire trucks and other emergency vehicles that kids are able to look at; plus, there will be games, passing out candy, hotdogs, and door prizes given away. All school age kids are welcome to attend, and kids are asked to dress up in costumes. Any businesses or people who may want to donate to the event can contact Toshia Evans at 601-274-2165.
• Archusa Creek Water Park plans to have a Trunk-or-Treat on Friday, October 29, from 6-8 p.m. There will be no admission fee to go Trunk-or-Treating. Campers who would like to volunteer to participate will set up, and kids will be able to go around Loops A, B, and C and collect candy from all those who are participating. Anyone else who would like to volunteer can set up somewhere in the park. Call Donna at 601-776-6956 for more information.
• Don’t forget Enterprise’s Fall Festival at Ritchey Park Saturday, October 30, beginning at 4 p.m. Come join in the costume contest, bouncy houses, sack races, ring toss and go fish. This event is sponsored by Enterprise Community Development.
• First Baptist Church Quitman will hold Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 30, from 6-8 p.m. on the church lawn and parking lot. They will have a chili cookoff challenge as well. Come out for fun, fellowship and candy!
• The Clarke County Baptist Association will hold its annual Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 30, from 5-7 p.m., 100 N. Jackson Ave., Quitman. Everyone is invited.
• Fall Fest is happening at Harmony Baptist Church Saturday, October 30th, with pumpkins to decorate, games, prizes, face painting, a bouncy house, candy, cookies, and lemonade, and a special visit from the "Great Pumpkin" herself, all from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a free fish fry to all starting at 5 p.m. We will end the evening praising the Lord with song featuring Southern Joy.
• The QHS Multicultural Club will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 30, from 5-7 p.m. on the practice field between the football stadium and high school library. There will be prizes and games, and there will be food and drinks for sale. Come dressed in your costume.
• The Theadeville Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Trunk-or-Treat at the fire department on Saturday, October 30, from 5:00-7:30 p.m. There will be hotdogs, popcorn, and candy.
• East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church: There will be a Fall Festival-Hallelujah Night on October 31 starting at 4:00 p.m. There will be hayrides, games, some trunk-or-treating, and a candy rain!
