The MLK Unity Parade was rescheduled to Saturday, January 22, due to the cold, wet weather on Saturday the 15th. This year, the parade will have the theme of “Bringing Us Together with the Spirit of Music” and will take place on Saturday at noon.
The parade will feature the Heidelberg Band and special guests, the Greenwood High School Marching Band and Dancing Diamonds, and the Slow and Easy Corvette Car Club. This year’s Grand Marshall will be Terrence Davis.
Come out and support the Quitman Unity Parade on January 22. Anyone interested in participating in the parade this year will need to pay a $25 entry fee. The parade will take the same route as the Christmas parade does.
