Enterprise opened the season at home against Lake on August 27, 2021 with a win of 32-13. Senior Gavyn Dear led the Bulldogs with 103 yards on 10 carries followed by Sophomore Zee Sims with 102 yards and eight carries. The Bulldogs racked up 357 rushing yards.
Sophomore Ridge Jackson led the team with six solo tackles while Junior Parks Burt had one sack on the night. Derryon Gray, Jake Shelby and Zee Sims each recorded an interception.
Week two brought a forfeit from Perry Central, and week three took Enterprise on the road to Mize. Junior Parks Burt had 60 yards and two touchdowns on seven rushes for the Bulldogs.
Senior Quarterback Derryon Gray scored two touchdowns and went one-for-one for 51 yards passing. Sophomore Zee Sims contributed one touchdown on a 20 yard run and finished the night with 50 total yards on four carries. Senior Gavyn Dear rushed for 46 yards on 10 carries while Junior Trace Roy had six carries for 54 yards. Isaiah Baum led the Bulldogs on defense with three tackles, four assists and one tackle for a loss. Dear had two tackles, one sack and two tackles for loss.
Enterprise will be back on the road to Stringer for week 4 (September 17) non-conference action. We hope to see you at Stringer to cheer on the Bulldogs.
