The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Salute to Greatness Awards Gala is moving to Clarke County as the committee will be relocating due to the positive response the people have shown us. The Executive Board has approval. The organization recognizes outstanding and unsung heroes who have exemplified the works of greatness of Civil Rights Activist, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The organization was based in any city across the Pinebelt of Mississippi, but due to the positive and professional experience this year, we have decided to locate in Clarke County. The annual two-day event will be held at The Meeting Place, 1845 Hwy. 18 West, Quitman, which includes welcoming ceremonies on Friday, morning workshops on Saturday morning and the gala Saturday night with guest speakers. Sunday will be a day of religious worshipping and closing ceremonies.
We need volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please email us at THADDEUSEDMONSON9@GMAIL.COM, with subject line: volunteers for MLK Jr. Committee.
Thank you,
