June 10th will be the 6th Annual Clarkco State Park Lake Run with both a 5K Run/Walk and a 1Mile Fun Run with starting time of 8:00 a.m. at Clarkco State Part, 386 Clarkco Road, Quitman, MS.
Clarkco State Park is over 80 years old and continuous improvements are necessary. From this fund-raiser, Friends of Clarkco will support building a playground area in the campground as well as adding swings to the current playground area to expand this for children. Additional help from this fundraiser may be given to support the new 19 hole Disc Golf Course.
There will be awards for the 5K Run, the 5 K Walk, and the Fun Run. Age groups for the 5K run and walk are 6-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
5K Run- Overall, Masters, & Grandmasters and 1t, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for males and females in each age group.
5K Walk – Top 3 Overall Male and Female and Top 3 in each age group.
5 Mile Fun Run: Ribbons will be given to all fun run participants.
T shirts are guaranteed to all who register by May 25. The race will be timed by TIME2RUN. For the 5K run and walk - The entry fee is $30 with pre-registration by May 25. $35 after May 25 - If registering on the day of the race, the park entry fee will also be included. For the 5 Mile Fun Run, pre-registration by May 25 - $20 and $25 after that date. Registration for this on the race day will also include the park entry fee.

Name; Telephone Number; Email address; Age on June 10th (race day); gender; and mailing address. Notice that if the runner is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign the registration information for the person.
