The Quitman School Homecoming Parade will be held Friday, October 1 at 4 p.m. Line up will be behind the Panther Stadium.
The parade route will be:
- Exit by QSD Maintenance turning left
- Turn right on East Franklin then take a left onto South Jackson (First Baptist will be on the right)
- Take a left on East Church Street heading toward the Court House and City Hall
- Take a left at the red light on Archusa Avenue
- Take a left at the red light on East Franklin Street (Chevron will be on the left)
- Take a right on Kirkland Avenue at QUE then a left into the school street between QUE and Panther Stadium back to the band practice field.
ONLY QSD schools, clubs, or organized alumni groups are allowed to be in the parade.
All trailers must have QSD Faculty/Staff on the trailer with students. Everyone should remain seated at all times and for the safety of all, make sure that if candy is thrown, PLEASE get it far from the street and parade vehicles. Also, please maintain TWO car lengths between parade vehicles. This will give everyone a good opportunity to see all participants in the parade.
The Homecoming Game will be held Friday, October 1, at 7 p.m. with the Homecoming Court presented at half-time. Members of the community and former high school classes are encouraged to come tailgate before the game.
