McGowan’s Chapel UMC, 90 CR 120 in the Harmony Community of Quitman, will host a community-wide Blessing of Animals Service on Sunday, October 31, at 10:00 AM in the church yard. All are invited to bring their animals (on leashes or secured, please!) for a morning of worship to recognize the importance of the creatures God has created, and lots of fun!
No RSVP required! However, we are trying to get an approximate headcount to be better able to provide worship material for everyone. If possible, please call or text Rev. Patty Robinson at 601-543-3137, so that we can plan on you – and your pet – being a part of this special worship service. If raining that morning, the service will be postponed.

The Stonewall Church of God is inviting all ladies young and old to our first annual Sister, Sister Saint Day on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. The speaker for the event will be Minister Lee Johnigan from Eighth Avenue Church of God. Lunch will be Western Sizzlin, Meridian, MS, at 2:00 p.m. The coordinate is Sister Jackie Pierce, and the host is Sister Ceola Davis.

East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will have a one day revival on Sunday, November 7, with Bro. Michael Bishop in the morning service and Bro. Steve Perrish in the evening service. All are invited to attend.

Veterans Day Fish Fry
Where: Shady Grove First Baptist Church, 1220 Hwy 11 N, Heidelberg MS
When: Saturday, November 13th, 2021
Time: 12:00 noon
All church members, veterans and first responders welcome. We will be serving fish, french fries and hushpuppies, along with cold slaw, desserts and tea. There will be no charge for the event.
Masks may be worn but not required, and social distancing will be practiced. To-go plates will be available.
Saturday, November 13
East Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will hold a benefit gospel sing and fish fry for Tina Bonner, Roy Gunn and Virginia Dickerson on November 13. Plates are $10 each. Tickets may be purchased in advance from any church member or EPG, or just come by the church on CR 672 to pick up a plate or stay and eat with us.
Fish plates will be ready starting at 4 p.m. Singing will begin at 6 p.m.
