The Town of Stonewall met in regular session on August 3, 2021, at town hall. A motion was made and approved to:
Allow a mobile home to be moved from 442 Riveria to 21 Moore Road.
Allow the county to help with work on the River Road ballfield. The concession stand and dugouts will be worked on first.
Send a clean up letter to the property owner of 324 Wainwright Avenue.
Allow the Mayor to sign a contract with MS Power for ten cameras for the Town at $1131 a month.
September 7, 2021
The Town of Stonewall met in regular session on September 7, 2021, at town hall. A motion was made and approved to:
Raise water and sewer rates by $1.00 each for 0-1000 gallons and per 1,000 gallons thereafter.
Raise the water tapping fee to $500 and sewer tapping fee to $650.
Enter into public hearing for comments regarding the budget and tax levy for fiscal year October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022.
Purchase a metal shed from GM Cole and Company for the lagoon and to approve the $132.20 that was paid on August. 12.
Accept Red Oak Construction’s bid of $334,350 for the 2020 Sewer Rehab GCBG Grant Project – lowest bid.
To amend the MS Power camera contract to 7 cameras.
Amend the current flood plain ordinance to inciorporate the 44 CFR requirement.
Have the bulk fuel tanks cleaned out and purchase diesel from John G. Weatherford Inc. for town and fire department vehicles and equipment.
To have a fall festival at Town Hall on October 30.
To increase pay to parttime police officers effective next pay period.
