City and county board meetings are open to the public. Residents are welcome to attend. All regular scheduled meetings are listed below.
City of Quitman Board - 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 5 p.m. at City Hall
Town of Stonewall Board - 1st Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at City Hall
Town of Enterprise Board - 1st Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at City Hall
Village of Pachuta Board - 1st Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at City Hall
Town of Shubuta Board - 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 5 p.m. at the Senior Center
Clarke County Board - 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 9 a.m. at the courthouse annex.
January 17
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Committee will host its 1st Annual Prayer Breakfast at the Multi-Purpose Building, located at 101 Westwood Ave. in Quitman, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. The keynote speaker for the event will be Pastor Abraham McKenzie, Jr., and the vocalist will be Rev. Tommie Ruffins. Tickets for the event are $15. Tickets for children under the age of 12 will be $8. RSVP by January 3, 2026. January 18
The 5th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Walk will take place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, starting in Sumrall Park, located at 506 North Archusa in Quitman. Lineup will begin at 4:45 p.m., and the walk will begin at 5:00 p.m. Bring a candle with a container. A commencement will follow the walk at Pearlie Grove Missionary Baptist Church, located at 108 Shirley Dr. in Quitman at 5:20 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Keontae Carter.
