Law enforcement responded to a call at a residence on County Road 224 on Monday, December 5, where they found John Parker unresponsive.
Bobby Robinson contacted Clarke County Dispatchers that morning saying that he and John Parker were in a physical confrontation and that he thought Parker was dead. He was waiting for the deputies when they arrived on the scene.
The Clarke County Coroner pronounced Parker dead at the scene, and his body has been sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Robinson was arrested and charged with kidnapping and manslaughter. At his bond hearing on December 6, Judge Tobey Bartee denied bond to Robinson.
The case will go before the next Grand Jury if all evidence is back from the crime lab at that time.
