According to Chief Deputy Barry White, Clarke County deputies were involved in a car chase on Wednesday, December 20.
Deputies were checking out a possible stolen vehicle. The vehicle was spotted on County Road 270 and then almost hit a deputy head on.
They reached speeds up to 85 mph.
The chase ended on County Road 261 when the subject jumped out of the vehicle and ran into the woods on County Road 260 and 261.
The suspect is a black male who was wearing black clothing at the time.
