A Quitman police officer was injured when responding to a call around 11:00 this morning.
Bradford Sellers has been charged with aggravated assault on a law officer and a felon in possession of a weapon.
“The Quitman Police Department responded to a call at the apartments on Church Street,” stated Chief Deputy Barry White. “It was a mental health call that turned into a domestic issue where the individual barricaded himself in the bedroom. While we were trying to get him, one of the Quitman police officers was cut on the arm and was in very serious condition.”
The Clarke County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the incident. At this time, the officer is still in surgery to repair the damages to her arm.
