The Clarke County Emergency Management Agency is excited to host its second May Day on Saturday, May 11, at Archusa Creek Water Park to celebrate the outstanding volunteer firemen all over Clarke County.
“This is an event to honor our firemen and women,” proclaimed Clarke County EMA Director Toshia Evans. “It’s a day for them to relax and enjoy with their families.”
Last year was the first time the event took place, and firefighters and their families were able to enjoy time getting to fellowship with each other and mingle with members from other departments.
At the event, awards will again be presented to honor the Clarke County Firefighter of the Year, Emergency Medical Responder of the Year, and the Fire Chief of the Year.
Entertainment for the event will be provided by DJ Chris Coleman. There will be bounce houses available for the kids to play on as well as various stations set up for everyone to look at.
All firefighters and their families are encouraged to attend this amazing, family friendly event at Archusa Creek Water Park on Saturday, May 11, from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
