As the days get longer, the temperature gets comfortable, and nature comes to new life, I seem to get more energetic. I find it interesting how energy seems to be seasonal as an adult versus the Energizer Bunny type of childhood. I do think that nature and seasons affect our energy, but also think other things make a difference as well – things that seem to give children more and adults less.
We call electricity energy or power and our human energy operates much the same way. Our electrical power comes from a source that we plug into and turn on. We also have storms and other accidents that can disrupt the flow of electrical energy. So it is with our personal energy.
The sources of personal energy that we plug into are within our spirits, mind, and bodies. The manifestation of personal energy and power depends on the strength of that source. Spiritually, how connected are we to God, who gives us the spiritual power? How vibrant and clear are the thoughts and feelings of our mind? How healthy are our bodies? The better the state of these, the better will be the personal energy we enjoy. As adults, these should be developed more strongly than for a child.
The disruptions to our power are what lessen the manifestation of energy as an adult. A child usually has a more carefree life without the worries and stress of adulthood. These become toxic disrupters to our adult energy. What Zig Zigler called “Stinking Thinking” becomes a cumulative adult energy disrupter as from childhood on, negative influences invade and take root in our minds. Junk food and bad health habits also accumulate over life to pull away from our adult energy.
Even if we don’t have electricity, we find a way to have the power that it gives. The ultimate source of life power is the sun in the natural and the Son in the spiritual. We need both to really live versus just take up space.
