The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) officially released the accountability results to the school districts in the state from the 2024-2025 school year based on the annual assessments given. Schools and districts are assessed based on their state test performance, student growth from year to year, acceleration, and graduation rates. Detailed report cards for each school and district can be found at https://msrc.mdek12.org/.
Enterprise School District is proud to announce they have an “A” rating again this year.
Superintendent Marlon Brannan is excited about all the results and the expectation of excellence that Enterprise School District maintains. He credits the district’s success to the amazing teachers, students, and supportive community surrounding the district.
“I’m ecstatic because the students have worked so hard, and I enjoy seeing them get the recognition they deserve. The students and teachers bring it every day. They work hard. I think it’s fabulous,” proclaimed Brannan. “I’m not from this community originally, but since I’ve been here—I’ve been in the district for 15 years—this district has had an expectation of excellence. Obviously, our teachers are where the rubber meets the road, but we also have parental support and students coming and doing what they need to do. Everything just works together, from the students to the teachers, the community support, the administration, the school board, and all the way up. I’m thankful for the environment that we’re in because our school performs well every year. Since 2018, we’ve actually had the #1 spot at one of our schools five times already. What I’m most proud of with the high school is that they’re #1 with their measurements for college and career readiness. That tells you that for the last decade, all of their schooling that led up to this culmination has been good for them to finish. Most of our kids have been in our system since they were in kindergarten, so that shows that they have been well prepared from all the schools for the past 10 years.”

Principal Angie Ledbetter is thrilled with the success of the school and all the hard work that the students and staff have done. She plans to continue to encourage the students to pursue excellence again this year as well.
“We are so excited to be named the #1 elementary school in Mississippi. This is a great honor for us all. We may be graded on a one or two day test, but being #1 doesn’t happen in a day,” proclaimed Ledbetter. “There are so many people who worked extremely hard to make this happen. Our students are awesome. They work hard every day and put forth effort in all that they do. The teachers are wonderful, and they will not accept anything less than the very best. They work their students hard every day, but obviously it is paying off. We have great parents, families, and community members who support our school, and that plays an important role in our success. Greatness must happen over time, and Enterprise Elementary has consistently been a top rated school because of the hard work and consistency they exhibit each day. We are truly blessed at Enterprise Elementary, and we are proud to hold the title of being the #1 elementary school in the State of Mississippi. We plan to continue striving to be the very best this school year. Being #1 is great, but now we have to make sure we continue the hard work in order to maintain this level of success. Each year brings a new group of students with new challenges, but the teachers in every grade level, not just the tested grade levels, are already identifying weaknesses and have a plan to close the gaps.”
