The Quitman Woman’s Club’s annual Youth Art Contest will be held again in January 2023. All children from kindergarten through high school are eligible to participate. Their art work must have been prepared in the year 2022 to be eligible. We have provided the Quitman School District art teachers along with private art teachers detailed information about the Youth Art Contest. Homeschoolers are encouraged to participate.
This year, the Quitman Public Library and the Quitman Woman’s Club are working in partnership to host a free open artwork day for any child that wants to come to the library and paint a picture for the Youth Art Contest. This will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, after school from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Quitman Public Library. Children under the age of nine must have an adult come with them. Please call Roxanne or Barb at the Library (601-776-2492) to reserve your child’s spot. Spaces are limited and there is no charge. All art supplies will be provided. Deadline to register is before 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022.
