Evelyn "Sis" Duvall, 95, of Quitman, Mississippi, passed away on September 8, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on July 6, 1930, to Andrew and Mattie (Hayes) McCarra in Quitman, MS.
Evelyn was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Jerry Dale Belcher and Turner LeRoy "Bo" Duvall, Jr.; daughter, Cherri Marnita Rowell; eight grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Belcher, Tanya (Wesley) Stacey, Matthew Tanner, Jonathan (Tina) Tanner, Jessica Duvall, Turner LeRoy "Lee" (Blair) Duvall, III, Samuel Morgan (Anna) Duvall, and Mary Grace Duvall; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Joan) McCarra and Dwight McCarra; her best friend Hazel Ruth Shirley; her beloved pet, Poncho; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mattie McCarra; husband, Turner LeRoy Duvall, Sr.; great-grandson, Landon Cole Tanner; three sisters, Opal Adams, Joyce Dew, and Lola Covington; and five brothers, Rufus McCarra, Russell McCarra, Nevel McCarra, James McCarra, and Ray McCarra.
Visitation was held Thursday, September 11, 2025, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at the Duvall Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Duvall and Rev. Terry Irby officiating.
Pallbearers were Turner LeRoy "Lee" Duvall III, Samuel Morgan Duvall, Jonathan Shay Tanner, Matthew Daniel Tanner, Jason Belcher, and Jacob Belcher.
Burial took place in the Duvall Cemetery.
