Michael Williams Appointed Manager at Landfill

At their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, April 1, the Clarke County Board of Supervisors officially promoted Michael Williams to be the new manager at the Clarke County Landfill.

Williams is thrilled to be given this opportunity and looks forward to spending the rest of his career at the landfill.

Kent Stephens Removes Elderly Lady from Fire

Pillows of smoke rolled from a house on Cool Springs Road in Stonewall early Thursday morning.

When the call went out to the fire department members, another notification was sent to Stonewall Police Chief Kent Stephens, who quickly went to assess the situation and assist as he could.
