Clarkco State Park had a couple of interesting guests last week. Simeon and Gale Pang of Hong Kong who are traveling the United States on a bicycle stopped overnight to rest. They spent the night in one of Clarkco’s cabins on January 4, 2022.
The couple had this to say on their journey Facebook page, 2wheels2seats:
“Clarkco State Park - we love it here!!! Cozy, warm, clean, equipped and magical!!!! Due to the cold weather, we had to look for a warm shelter. Luckily, Clarkco State Park campground has cabins which are fully equipped; we only have to bring our food!
This is a new experience for us; has been a long time since we stayed in a state campground. We only had rented a yurt once on a rainy day back in Oregon. These cabins are like a deluxe and way better than any hotel for the same price!!! We are highly recommending it 200%!
Also, the Park Manager Toney is very friendly and helpful. Not surprised to know he’s the park manager of the year!”
