Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and knows just how much of a financial burden that cancer can cause on families.
To assist in alleviating the financial pressure, the First United Methodist Church, located at 203 East Franklin Street in Quitman, is once again doing its annual yard sale to raise funds for Standing Together Against Cancer (S.T.A.C.). All funds that are collected at the yard sale will be deposited in the Anderson Cancer Benevolence Fund to be distributed to Clarke County families that are fighting cancer.
Each year, the church has a goal to raise at least $2,000 to donate. They do this by having a yard sale consisting of various household items, furniture, kids’ items, and a variety of other great things.
This year’s sale will take place on Friday, April 5, from 8:00 to 5:00, and Saturday, April 6, from 8:00 to 12:00.
Come out to First United Methodist Church in Quitman this Friday and Saturday and enjoy their yard sale to help cancer patients in Clarke County!
